Rare earth market update on February 20, 2025
There is no significant change in the overall center of gravity of domestic rare earth prices. Under the interweaving of long and short factors, the atmosphere of traders' negotiations is slightly stalemate, so the market trading atmosphere is relatively weak and the transaction volume is relatively small. At present, the industry focuses on the downstream demand. Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, terbium oxide and holmium oxide are about 435,000 yuan/ton, 6,100 yuan/kg and 464,000 yuan/ton respectively.
In the short term, the growth rate of market spot supply is average, and the demand is also small, that is, the consumption capacity of metal production enterprises and magnetic material enterprises is limited. In the long term, with the rapid development of industries such as new energy vehicles, robots and wind power generation, the demand for rare earth functional materials is expected to increase in the future. Some institutions have stated that the shipment of humanoid robots will exceed 10,000 units in 2025; by 2030, the shipment of humanoid robots is expected to reach about 5 million units, and the market demand will rise to about 750 billion yuan; 2025 is expected to become the first year of commercial mass production of humanoid robots.
Antai Technology expects its net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company to be RMB 349 million to RMB 387 million in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 39.89% to 55.12%; its non-net profit is expected to be RMB 223 million to RMB 261 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.27% to 18.53%.
